What we don't do

Tuppence is payments for software and agents. Some things near payments we do not do, on purpose:

  • Tax. We don’t calculate, collect or file sales tax or VAT. Amounts are what you send; if you need tax on top, work it out before you create the payment.
  • Quotes and invoices. There is no invoicing or accounts-receivable workflow. A payment link is the closest thing — send it with your own invoice.
  • Revenue recognition. Monthly statements and the ledger tell you, to the penny, what moved and why; they are not revenue-recognition schedules.
  • Accounting integrations. No direct sync to accounting packages yet: export statements and reports as CSV.
  • Currencies beyond the account’s own. An account takes payments in its default currency (GBP for UK businesses). Multi-currency comes later.
  • Subscriptions, for now. Saved cards and off-session charges under a mandate are here; recurring billing plans are not yet.
